How to place a Reels or TikTok video widget on a website using QForm

The audience likes Reels or TikTok videos, they are viewed by dozens a day. It is logical that it is important for businesses to use this tool not only on social networks, but also on their own websites.

QForm offers a tool like video widgets that bring any page to life and turn browsing into customer interaction.

Adding and basic settings

Getting started is simple. In the personal account of QForm, you need to open the "Spaces and sites" section and add a new video widget. The system will offer you to download the video in one of the popular formats.:  mp4, avi, mov and others. The file can weigh up to 100 MB, and when the extended tariff is enabled, the limit increases to 1.5 GB. If the video is not ready yet, you can save the blank as a "Draft" and return to the settings later.

The important step is choosing the display method. The video widget can be vertical or round, fixed in the lower left corner of the screen. Another option is to place it directly in the body of the page. In this case, there is more freedom: you can choose a vertical, square or horizontal orientation, enable adaptivity, and, if necessary, set the "Fill" mode, in which the video will occupy the entire selected block.

Launch and behavior management

After the video is uploaded, the widget's behavior is adjusted. You can use a separate preview frame as the cover. The appearance of the widget itself is also configurable: it can open immediately after loading the page, with a time delay, or only by an event, for example, by clicking on a button, hovering over a form, or scrolling to a specific block.

Additional preview playback option: a short seven-second excerpt that can be turned on automatically or by hovering the cursor. For the "in the body of the page" format, there is also a way to launch the full video: using the built-in player or in a pop-up window.

If the video is not needed on mobile devices, you can disable the display. And for premium tariff users, advanced options open up, for example, the ability to remove the QForm logo or add a timeline for free video rewinding.

Call-to-Action inside the video

A video gadget is not just a player. You can place a Call-to-Action button in it, which launches a QForm or quiz form. The button is easy to set up: you can set a name and color for it, and the form itself can open over the video or by pressing the pause button. Moreover, additional widgets can be linked to one video: one is displayed after submitting the form, and the rest can appear on separate steps of the quiz. This turns the video into a full-fledged lead generation tool.

Publishing and embedding on a website

After the video widget is created, the video is uploaded and the name is specified, the "Publish" tab becomes available when saving. By default, the widget is created vertically in the thumbnail unless you select a different display type. The code for embedding on the site is always generated, it is enough to place it in the <head> section and add the block itself to the desired place on the page inside the <body>. If the widget is set to display "In the body of the page", a direct link to qform.link and a QR code appear in addition, which are convenient to share on social networks, messengers or use in printed materials.

Time saving and analytics

On paid plans, video downloads can occur in the background. This means that you can queue up several videos at once, do other things, and the system itself will notify you of the completion of the process.

When a video widget is already working, it is important to understand how effective it is. To do this, QForm has built-in analytics: the system shows the number of views, screenings and clicks on the CTA button. It is convenient to analyze the data for the selected period, and visual diagrams help you quickly assess the dynamics.

Result

The QForm video widget makes it easy to embed content in Reels or TikTok format on a website without the help of programmers. This will make the page more modern and attractive and will directly affect sales: the visitor gets an engaging experience and can immediately submit a request or take a quiz. If short videos have already become part of your social media strategy, then the next logical step is to transfer this experience to the site and enhance the result.
